The coat is not too long- it just looks like a full-sized coat. It would look classy with a suit, but out of place with a casual attire. You should shorten it if you plan on wearing jeans with it, but it's not necessary if you would wear it with a suit in the winter (also would be more functional that way). The buttons are very low, and there's a chance the coat would look awkward if you shorten it too much (It would certainly look awkward to me, but of course, not everyone shares the same perspectives).

I usually like Southernstyle's fits... but I have to agree with Ivar on this one :(

Feedback on the shirt fabric please. I almost didn't purchase it because it seemed too busy. I thought it might be offset by everything else being solid. At 5 meters it just looks like a graph check and then at about 10 meters it looks like solid white.

 

I wish I was good at taking pictures of myself. But here is What I am wearing tonight. Simple RL Flatfront Trousers with a Jcrew V neck sweater on top. Shoes are Penny Wingtips from Joseph Abboud.

out of curiosity how come you put your tie asymmetrical and popping out to the right?is it a south thing?

I think everything is fitting nicely here, but it's a mishmash of styles which doesn't quite work, IMO! The vest colour is the first thing that should go then the folded up trousers (honestly, get them hemmed and, if you still want to roll them up, do it then). The PS, jacket and shoes go together, but the tie looks a little funky--I'd go with a plain green one, IMO. The fit of the jacket is superb in the arms/shoulders, and I love the shoes!
