The weather in NYC promises to be horrible today - warm and wet - and today's attire reflects this - an ensemble in which I don't really care if I'm rained on or not.

They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different result. I think only 1 of my fits has ever met with any remote form of approval, but I'm determined to improve. And also, I was hoping for some feedback on the trouser color. I deliberated quite a bit, and still not quite sure I got it right. I'd appreciate helpful input on what color others would have opted for.

(Anticipating some comments: Yes, my camera is awful; yes my mirror is likely dirty; yes the white balance stinks -- irl colors listed next to item in spoiler)

Shirt: Can't recall; nobody impressive; grosgrain white
Tie: Valentino, wool/silk blend in charcoal
Square: Talbott, I believe, purple with baby blue dots
Trou: HF flannelized in light gray
Shoe: TBNY

Quite bright colours and autumnal textures for an unexpectedly sunny and warm day.

 

Not sure if colors came off well in the photos. The tie is woven red and blue wool, trousers are medium grey flannels, and PS is predominantly olive green.
