HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part III - Page 2422

The infamous plaid trousers that usually receives litte love here on SF. I kind of understand why, rather hard to pair with just about anything except a solid SC. Nevertheless, it's Friday so why not? biggrin.gif

A second hand Hugo Boss jacket from early 2000. The knitted tie from the 1960´s cost 66 cent. I must admit that the brown corduroy trousers was new last winther (Oscar Jacobsson). It´s hard to find corduroy in good condition in second hand shops.

I like this, but would prefer a tie with earthtones. Though, if memory serves, brown ties are anathema to you.

Thank you for your insight, and yes, your memory is correct, though I believe "anathema" is too strong a term for my lack of use of brown ties - rather more "whatever for?". However, saying that, I did recently buy a brown tie, and will attempt to integrate it into a fit sometime in the near future - I am not averse to experimentation satisfied.gif.

Señor Crust, I disagree with the wooly man. A brown tie would have done nothing to improve the combination. I will refrain from judging the tie you did choose because I am incapable of seeing the good in a yellow tie.

Tie green is a little bright and I think there's a bit too much tartan overall in the fit. I can see what you're going for though.

I like that tie. Just ugly enough to be the kind of thing I dig.

Glad it's Friday; it's been far too busy a week...

PS. inlandisland - to answer your query, the critters on yesterday's tie were flying ducks. :)

Trousers could stand some tapering again, but I have large thighs and hips so I'm still not sure it'd be the most flattering option confused.gif

You might be served by a slightly shorter jacket... Not much shorter though.

I should point out that you need to mask the area you want to stay in focus to get a really good version though.

"+1 on the tie, details please I love it. P.S. re. thighs/hips - in English we just say big butt. ,)"

The tie is a pre-SF 7 cm (I know, I know) wool+silk mix I got for cheap at this department store. My wardrobe is not very expensive smile.gif

And funnily enough, I don't have much of a butt... what I have on my hips are remains of weight loss that don't want to go away frown.gif

I think the camera angle is making my legs appear somewhat shorter than they are. I actually find this jacket a bit short, but you might be right, a shorter jacket could make legs appear longer... thanks for the tip!
