That's a great look! Love the SC. Very well put together.

Wow, tons of horrible looks (mostly from new members), but also tons of group hugs. What a cozy corner of SF.

For once, I agree with this sort of sweeping statement. I almost never do, historically, but there are a few seriously awful looks over the past few pages. Horrid colours, ill-chosen patterns and dreadful fit/silhouette choice for people's physiques. I'm usually the last person to say something like this, but after this thread had quite a good end to the working week, the weekend (with a couple of notable exceptions like DerekS' 3pc look) has been disappointingly poor. I had a bad dress w/end too, but at least only in the casual thread, and I knew it was bad but was too casual to care and only posted it for lulz.

Hmm, maybe I'm just grouchy because it's Monday.

Now that I've made myself a target, I suspect I'll be slated today - esp. in this quite retro-styled suit - but still, it had to be said! :D

The matching-apart-from-scale tie/square is deliberate. I leave it to you to judge effectiveness.

This is exactly the kind of broad stroke, empty criticism that brings the forum down and ultimately perpetuates lousy fits - all the recent posters/noobs feel roundly criticized (or worse: unwelcome), but not one bit of helpful advice is given, so nothing is learned.

Holdfast, as you astutely noted, today was not the day to levy that kind of assault. MC Hammer wants his suit back.

0. Compare to the last 2 tries, this is an improvement. However,
1. The jacket is a bit tight, it seems like the button is going to bust sooner or later.
2. The pants were too taper. Guys with skinny legs can pull skinnier pants off, however, skinny pants on guys with bigger legs give the sausage look. Also, you should never ever stack suit pants.
3. You should always wear balmorals with suits. Some bluchers may work such as ptb, but never gunboats.

1. Something to think about in term of color: You're a young person, your clothes need to have higher contrast. Everything right now look old in many ways, and increasing contrast may fix that.
2. Yyou seem like a skinnier person, try some tapered pants, they may work wonder.

Didn't get too much love with the 2 open buttons on my shirt so I'm going up one ;)
Here's my Sunday:

SC: Isaia
Shirt: Borrelli
Jeans: CKone
Shoes: Moreschi
PS: Kent Wang
Watch: Yachtmaster
Methinks the jeans are abit too tapered towards the bottom but that's how they came :( I'm waiting for some Borrelli jeans from my tailor to finish being hemmed. Adds about another quarter/half inch at the opening.

I usually don't post in this thread but I gotta say this is a fantastic look.

As I posted some pics during the weekend I guess I might be one of the horrible ones. I have never percieved myself as master of fit (I do think I made a pretty good job colour wise though), so I'd really like to have some pointers on my latest post.

All I see is loud Red tie. Hard to discern whats going on, its as if your wearing a V-Neck, can't see buttons and only details of jacket that are discernable would be your jacket's right lapel. It looks like a great fit but for a formal event I would imagine a Black Tie would be the better option, unless you were color coordinating for a specific reason.

It wasnt like a Black Tie affair (except the hosts) but a black suit was appropriate. Tie isnt as bright IRL

The right shoulder is slipping off. Bottom top button, or properly roll the lapel as a 3/2?

Your hand is a bit busy there with the bracelet. Or maybe just move the bracelet above watch. It looks off and takes attention away from your gorgeous wrist watch.
