I think you'd have been better served by a solid navy suit here. The scale of the stripes on the shirt and suit look too close to my eye.

Thank you, Artof - from what I've seen, you're no slouch in such matters either . . . I only steal from the best, oh, Spoo-meister, and in answer to your question, date (most pleasant, as it turned out). A difference of opinion. I, unfortunately, do not own a solid navy suit (not any more - the solid navy DB went to the charity shop some time ago). The photo has somewhat overexposed the suit I did wear with that particular shirt - the navy color is darker and more muted IRL than shows. I do not entirely disagree with Lufty's observation, but I think that IRL the combo did work better than it photographed - thank you, Clarinet, for your thumbs up.
