Ok, wise-guys, Manton already slapped me about the tie. But notice something, I didn't post it in the Whnay's Good taste thread because I am aware of what I am wearing, and I know what conforms and what doesn't to the aesthetic the big-wigs discuss.

As for the bacteria comment made by Fuuma that was to somebody else entirely.

As for the white square and white shirt thing, I don't care what Mafoofan says about it, I side with Manton that white and white between shirt and hanky is fine. Plus, with this louder tie, why would I ever have more going on?

Honestly in reality the tie doesn't look that jarring, nobody has said a word about it to me in the office, and that says something especially since nobody around here can control their mouths.

As to the "that's what you wear everyday with a different tie" more or less, I have many suits in the navy-gray ranges. This one is actually the brightest blue suit I have in Scabal 8oz tropical. I would call it royal blue actually.

How about I post a pic of my hair? Would that make up for it? shog[1].gif

DO IT.

I don't want to derail the thread. I already know it doesn't belong there, I am not asking for advice, or even trying to argue that it is CBD, WhnayBD, edBD, or fooBD. It is plain and simple pBBD

You can complain about the hedgerow in my tie today if that makes you feel better. tongue.gif

smile.gif If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now...

IMO go with that navy suit with a white shirt and a solid color tie. If you want an embellishment, add a colorful PS. I think if you are just a guest you should sort of blend in and not try to outshine anything. Also, you are going with your GF so I dunno if you are wanting to make TOO much of an impression shog[1].gif

Also, if the jacket, pants, and shirt all fit well, you will be making a bigger statement as most of the attendees will be average people who typically won't care as much about all those details. You will stand out in form and fit, not in color or pizzazz.

Just my two cents.

Holdfast: Against my better judgment, I don't hate that tie.

pB: You're right to ignore Foo on the white shirt/square question.

Love everything but the shirt. I think a shirt with no pattern would make this exceptional. There are just one too many patterns going on. That SC is gorgeous.

I must say I like the tie. This is not the same as saying I am enthusiastic about it, but I would wear it. I like the whole outfit. nod[1].gif

I wore the navy suit to my fiances brothers wedding about a month and a half ago and now her other brother is getting married so I dont wanna wear the navy suit again, i have the black one with the blue shirt that im looking for a sharp combo for.

and trust me, most middle eastern guys in Michigan usually cant dress so anything I wear i'd be outshining them lol

but thanks for ur opinion bro, means a lot

The beauty of the conservative suit is that no one will notice that you wore the same suit a month ago. In fact, if anyone remembers what you wore to a wedding, and you weren't part of the wedding party, you're doing it wrong.

Day 2 of looking rather polished and professional...but it is hard to pick up on all of the details with such poor photography. Many people disapprove of black suits for businesswear, though pinstripes might subdue that a bit...

We're going to need some context in order to help you. Will the ceremony be indoors or out? Daytime or night? That sort of thing. Also, has the bride or groom made any requests of the members of the wedding party?
