By the way, this dogmatic 'NO LOAFERZ WITH A SUIT' shit is dumb. It's all pretty subjective, so getting all snide and catty and being mean to a guy because he's alleviating himself of some dated sartorial punctilio is silly. Who the fuck died and made you captain of the loafer police?

How about instead of a categorical and definitive declaration that says 'never', say something like 'there is evidence to suggest that it isn't a tradition/convention', or 'personally, I feel that there is limited applicability for loafers in business dress' or even 'in my opinion, loafers are not appropriate'. 

Or just say "I don't like the loafers" and leave that shit at that.

Then you don't understand, nothing rude at all about it? Looking like that, if he is going to the supermarket to buy some cheetos with that hat and outfit, maybe it's a bit funny (for me). He can dress how he wants I don't care? I just wanted to see if he was going to something important wear this is the outfit to be used.

That situation is just as strange and farfetched as, like Hampton's put it, a gentleman buying some Cheetos in a black tie outfit. There is nothing offensive about what he had said.
