Sorry if todays combination produces any eye nausea, I experimented a bit as I was getting sick of wearing orange/brown/navy ties with this jacket. Shirt is pink and the sleeves shrank big time :/ going to relegate it to casual wear. Excuse the trouser creases...cotton nod[1].gif

That is a seriously nice SC, CItan! I like the combo with the tie also, and what an excellent knot! Miss a ps, but that's just dandy me.

It strikes me that the initial measurements must have been taken badly to have got it this wrong. If this was OTR, I would say 'size down'... nice fabric though.

That jacket is best left unbuttoned, to conceal the fact that it's too small for you.

Derek I agree with Lee here.

But...

I really like the colours / co-ordination here, and that PS, I think you have folded it and used its borders to great effect. Excellent!!

very powerful masculine image overall: white, navy, grey - yes I like it a lot.

thanks for the feedback...would like a little more detail reg: trouser rise...

also, the coat is a hair too bigger in the chest than i prefer. When standing in the robot pose, those wrinkles arent there.

How about trousers at least as dark as the brown over-check in the SC, white shirt, white PS, dark green single colour textured tie (maybe like the one spoo sometimes wears). IMO

Thanks for the comment Christian. This sc is pretty great in my humble opinion, probably the finest offering BB had off the rack this year! The fabric is certaintly unique and a challenge to wear sometime though nod[1].gif

Dean, I would agree on the color choices but I am concerned brown trousers would be overly saturated, i.e. too dark for the rest of the fit? Maybe? Anything beyond light grey and dark grey trousers and I am clueless, suggestions this like are very helpful. However, I would like some brown tropical wool trousers for my other neutral colored jackets in the summer so it would be worth a shot I guess! Thanks for the suggestion.

Welcome! my what big eyes you have! haha

I second this suggestion. May I also suggest a khaki colored jacket and some white/ivory trousers or even some jeans? I think a neutral color (i.e. the navy suggested or a tan) would work well with that jacket. I would go tieless with it as well, but I think it would look great with the right jacket. Nice collar on it!

Ask a stranger to take a few dozen pictures of you in awkward poses. He won't mind.

I am famously not a tie person, but I think this is a prime example of an outfit that would be stronger without one.

Though I could quibble about about the flower-thing in your lapel in the first fit, you're pulling off both with aplomb. Which, frankly, is impressive.
