Really??
While I don't doubt TTO's awesomeness as a gentleman, I think if newbie showed up in this outfit...he would be slaughtered by the fit police here.

As one of the newbies, I must admit being confused; his jacket seems awfully tight.

Knowing TTO's fits from before I really doubt it's tight. There is probably a fricition between the cloth in the coat and the jacket that makes it crease in that way. The same happened in a shot I posted a while back:

Same jacket

so it gets to the low 40's in the foothills in the morning
cold enough that i busted out my coat for my morning commute
(i'm just looking for an excuse to wear my coat more often)
the coat's more casual than not but i don't think it looks too out of place with a suit

Thank you for the compliment!
As you say some thing looks off with the fit of my suit coat in this picture, but it is not tightness, I think the fact that I have a sweater and a scarf under there probably tightens it up but the main factor, I think, is the topcoat ruffing up the suit.
Here is the same coat worn as a sports coat earlier this year.

and from a few weeks back as a suit with a DB waistcoat under it.

Whilst I have piled the pounds back on recently this is one of my suits that still has plenty of breathing room!
Thanks for everyone's kind comments on this and other fits recently but especially to those who have offered constructive critique, I am here to learn after all!
