Don't wear that tie. Shirt collar should lay underneath the lapels. Pants need to be hemmed, since they have a small leg opening, minimize the break. This will help avoid them from looking like stacks on jeans. Hold your arms forward a bit to help with the sleeve pitch. Wear the back of the trousers higher so the fabric doesn't wrinkle.
Oy!
Get your own avatar, mate!
(seriously though, it's very flattering that my pic is worth ripping off... I'm truly touched... Sniff)

You know, after all the discussion about RL's Olympic outfits in this thread, I can't help thinking that this outfit of yours would be a much nicer version. It keeps many of the same basic elements as RL used but brings them closer to something I mentioned halfway down the thread: "... it's harder for America to inspire new uniforms than older countries as most good really American looks are IMO not formal or uniform ones but ones that are formal mixed with some casual elements. RL's tried to reflect that... but I think it doesn't quite hit the mark." To me, your outfit hints at being quite American in that middling-formal North Atlantic way.
(I also trust you aren't wearing a beret in the bit of photo that's cropped out.....)

The pre-distressed denim shirt with a button down collar's too much. Single breasted with skinny peak lapels–OK, I guess, though the contrast stitching on the button hole's needless further ostentation. But with the shirt, it's like piling on something everywhere just for its own sake.
Then there's the bandana. He's wearing short pants, loafers, and no socks. It's not like it's there to keep his neck warm.
It's an overdone look. #menswear and all that. The look is widely accepted by the masses as being "stylish," but there's no individuality because it's such an ubiquitous trend. So, I like the look, but I don't really respect it.

Tell me, PB, how do you have your hair cut, and how do you style it (i.e. what types of products/methods do you use)? I've been trying many different haircuts lately, and I'm currently trying for a look very similar to what you've got here. Any bits of sagacity would be welcome.![]()

I will refer you to the hair thread. I believe I wrote some things in there fairly recently.
