I have not worn any of the Rancourts long or often enough to answer your question. They use Horween leather for most of their models. The hand sewn lakes are exemplars of their type. Their shoes feel solid in a way that cheaper shoes do not. Quality control is very high based on what I have.
They are a pleasure to wear if an element of Ivy style is natural to you.

Thanks. I will probably order a pair from their website.

I have a pair of Quoddy camp mocs in pebble grain that I like. Worth a look.

I was looking into a pair of camp mocs myself but they are all usually so narrow for me. do they offer e widths or does the leather stretch out enough? I run into this problem with other loafers as well.

I have seen Quoddyy's online but haven't had a chance to try on a pair. They are a bit more expensive than the Rancourts. Do you think they are better made? Thanks.

I've found that most traditionally sewn mocs, made with good leather and with handsewn lakes, stretch-out a bit very quickly. Plus, a camp moc is a blucher, meaning you have some latitude on the fit across the foot because of the lacing.

That being said, when you buy directly from Rancourt or Quoddy, you're basically buying made-to-order. Both makers offer several widths in most of their shoes, just like the old days. Check out their web sites.

Quoddy and Rancourt are equivalent in terms of the standard and philosophy of make, in my opinion. With both, it is worth checking if their specials for Ralph Lauren, Leffot, LeatherSoul, etc. are more to your liking since details vary among the models (assuming that that they carry your size.)

I'll piggyback on your post again about the Quoddys. If I recall correctly, J. Crew sells their camp mocs (not sure if they're made for J. Crew, and if so, how construction differs) for a little over $200.00.

Nice SC! If I may shoot: jacket seems a tad tight and short. Not a fan of the bd collar. Maybe a white linen ps would seem less match-y (bonus points: navy edges)

I have a feeling Spoo's 20K post will be memorable....

Proportions are really off. Jacket looks too small and short. Shoes look way too big. I'm hoping that's not what it really looks like and it's just camera angle.
