I'm going to have to assume that you're posing with your sister because no self-respecting lady would cavort with a man wearing a black belt and light brown shoes.

No, it's actually a medium-brown belt!  I'll blame the iPhone camera for that one.  I have learned enough from the posters on this thread to avoid that faux pas!

Being in the city I don't have a sweet ass front yard to take a picture in!  And I think some people might look at me a bit suspiciously if I try to pull one of those artsy city shots I see in this thread (as much as I admire them).

Two straight days away from the office at trial calls for slubby informal look. Coat is unstructured cotton, trousers are linen, black sockless penny loafers.

Tie looks to have gotten a little messy.

Coat is too tight in the chest and waist. All of the pulling at the waist is exaggerating the gap between shirt and jacket, which would be there anyway, but is more exaggerated due to the pull.

Pants also are a bit too sloppy for my taste, but the casual nature of the SC and the OCBD allow for some leeway there.

It looks good for that unstructured, informal look, but I think the problem is the bow-tie. I think no-tie or more casual tie will be better.

Agreed. The bow tie also draws the eye upward so that the collar gap is more apparent. Going open-collar and open-jacket would make this look 100x better.

EDIT: Christ, 2,000 posts. I need a fucking life.

Thanks, although bourbonbasted is right, it is a bit tight. Didn't look like it was pulling much in the mirror this morning, but after looking at that picture it seems more prominent. You think the bowtie doesn't go with the rest of the outfit? What kind of informal tie would you suggest? Knit? I have to admit, I don't even own any knit ties because I've never worn one that I thought looked good on me. Completely tieless might look better, actually. I thought it looked fine without a tie this morning, but I hadn't worn a (non-black) bowtie in months, so I decided to do it today.

If you have only 1-2 pairs of jeans - if agreed - must have jeans with only the usual yellow thread.

And if the pair 20, a pair can be anybiggrin.gif   Is not it?

Wow, crazy mix of American, Neapolitan, and English style here.

I will be monitoring this thread closely for Senor Corbera's response. lurker[1].gif
