Button for the win (not a fan but an excellent driver); Kimi and Webber on the podium. Pole: Button.

Alternatively, Kimi for the win, Button and Nico on the podium; Pole: Button.(Button looses the lead b/c of pit-performance/tire strategy)

(humongous F1 fan here)

You really think this is where Webber makes his comeback? Color me skeptical...

Woke up this morning & spontaneously decided to shave off the beard. Hey, it's really sunny, so it felt right to get shot of it... was subsequently told I looked 12 years younger... I'll take that! :)

It'll most likely be back in the winter though.

I don't normally do multiple detail close-ups, but I wore my very old, battered & cheap straw hat with its funky paisley band today, and I really like it, so... biggrin.gif

"I'd prefer this look with solid trousers rather than the windowpane." - well, the thing is, ive been searching for a while for a SC for these pants, ive been wearing them sans jacket since i bought them. do you have any other ideas what would work well with them? im open to good suggestions.

thanks.

Cream/off-white linen jacket would be awesome with those trousers IMO.

loss of beard makes me sad, but you do look good. tie looks a bit long, but likely just the way you are leaning on the desk.

Yeah, I um'ed and ah'ed about it a little too, but in the end I went for it. I wanted to wear a summery tie and narrowed it down to this silk/linen blend and a darker brown tussah. The lighter orangey-brown seemed to work better with the jacket and tie than the darker brown.

Re: tie being tied too long or just posture - 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. * shrug* :)

Actual white as a jacket would be too a bit too strong for those trousers IMO; cream/off-white jacket would tone more nicely with them, I reckon. I think a cream jacket is a pretty versatile item, and can be worn with a lot of different summer looks, but obviously it's a bit different to what many wear, so it will stand out.

The beard was fun, and as I said, it will be back when the weather turns cold and nights become long. But in the summer sunshine and warmer weather it just feels right to be clean-shaven. I'd normally have shaved it off sooner, but April & May have been uncommonly cold & wet this year while winter was mild, so the beard arrived late and stayed longer. :)

Im interested to know what you mean by tying it like David Letterman, I just tied a standard DFIH. You do have a good point on the tie color hitting on the shirt, I considered going with a green tie but the paisley on it wasn't much less "high impact." biggrin.gif
Thanks for the constructive criticism

Letterman's ties hang several inches below his belt. I couldn't tell where yours hit in the far shot, but it looked crazy long in that last up close waist shot.

+1 to both.

Agreed. I still don't get French cuffs with tweed, and I would have picked different buttons for the coat (prob. dark brown horn), but overall it is quite nice.
