The shirt (Taylor Stitch) is pink. I am wearing the reverse side of a Churchill dot pocket square--the dots are faintly visible. Tie--Polo; trusty old Vass Budapest shoes; Brooks Bros silk knots. Clicking the pic reveals a better, more true, color.

That tie is outRAGEOUS.

I love it.

G'day Spoo, I must say I am liking a lot of your more coservative outfits and I'm doing a tie almost the same as that next season except a shade more brown. Reason I'm commenting instead of thumbs up is it looks like you are manipulating your knots quite a lot to get that chasm of a dimple in them and it's affecting the actual knot itself, making it too narrow at the bottom and almost symmetrical. I'd love to see it tied slightly looser with a smaller dimple. This is of course objective to personal preference but IMO it goes against the whole point of a four in hand (or double in your case) to me, which is to be imperfect ad asymmetrical. Cheers, Jason

Shameless promotion (but hey I'm an affiliate so technically I'm paying for the privelage) I now have a tumblr for the company. It will be a mix of original content and some re-blogs I feel will be useful for readers/clients.

"thats actually one of your best suits. do you still have it? looks great!"

Thanks Citan.. It might seem that way but the suit had several issues...

It was a little too tight in the thight and the lapels for some reason would not sit flat (Hence While I am folding my arms lol) even though I tightened then and even shortened the collar. I came to the realization taht it was probably made for a skinny tall person so I handed it to my cousin...

Either way the color looked excellent on you as did the peak lapels. I would recommend getting something like it that fits better.

Thanks, its by Ermenegildo Zegna, SS11. The fit is "Savile", I don't know much about the material. 4 season wool.

Your collar appears to be quite high (by intention, of course).  Where do you find shirts with this feature?  Or, if they are MTO, who will make them like this (and this well)?
Thanks.

Thanks, the shirts are by Borrelli. They are not MTO, this is right off the rack.

Hi Jason, thanks for the comments. I personally prefer a deep chasm, or a silk vagina in my ties. I do also like to manipulate a 4IH to a more symmetrical look as well. However, this particular tie is an unlined 7 fold by Vanda. The knots on these come out very small or very narrow if I don't mess around with them a bit. Hence the D4IH for more volume. Its a tricky one to work with, but the silk is phenomenal (Vanners). Followed you on tumblr, btw.

My next sport coat will be a grey herringbone, I think they look amazing, this one included. Details?

Cheers Spoo, all good. Each to their own. Have followed you back too.

Thanks, this is actually a herringbone coat by Herrignbone (Sydney). An Australian label. I know of someone selling this same coat in a size 36R if that is your size for pretty cheap. PM if it is and i'll put you in touch.
