the short answer is no. there are various places on this site which will give you the long answer, if you're interested in doing a bit more searching.

EDIT: I'm sorry, are you implying you would make use of excess material as the jacket is too large for you? if that is the case, it maaaay be possible, but would be expensive.

can you try said SC on before buying it?


Negative. I'm seriously considering buying it regardless of the vent issue.

Just saw your edit. I was thinking of doing so, I was not sure if there was enough extra fabric though.

i am a big spoo-fan and have asked him for a how-to tutorial on tying a spoo-knot already

but i did pull it a little tighter


Sorry, but still too lose. If cinching it makes the knot too small, you might try a double FIH which is just twice around then through. You can then either pull it through both layers of the wrap or just the outer. Again check out Spoos knots.

if i had seen this picture before i left the house, i think i would have worn blue+black as well

blue suit, blue shirt, blue tie... tan/brown/white checkered patterned PS... and light brown shoes
