^AS, normally you are very funny, but (not to sound silly) PG knows what he's talking about. He's been here for years. Wait a little longer, refine your own style, and you will understand what he's preachin

+1 - although most posters probably don't know who Doc holiday is anymore.

And for the record "others have already piled on" the person you were responding to in that post, so clearly you're not above getting a few cheap shots in when others have already commented. You were fourth in line. I think he got the message. Seriously, I've noticed you being a jerk lately just because you don't like the way people quote other posts. Give it a rest. I respect your fits, but it's getting to the point where that's about all I respect.
.... I admit that many of my fits are boring and I don;t care if you are a noob or a senior member, but to lash out at someone who is ultimately trying to help you will end up negatively effecting you. I agree that much of the thread has been kind of a back patting train wreck lately and the critique certainly used to be a lot more harsh. /feel free to disregard any comments, thanks.

BACK ON TRACK. My bad fit from tonight. The buttoning point on this coat is too high. Slightly lower and I'd love it... Where it's at really bothers me.

If you are serious about providing constructive criticism of the above two postings (and for content, I am in total agreement - the jacket is seriously too small in the first photo, and is badly mismatched with the shirt and especially with that tie, which is, IMHO, quite reprehensible - and in the second, the sunglasses are clearly too large for the face upon which they sit), just tell the facts - I am sure that the effect will be devastating enough, but at least the content might have some positive effect.

If your intent is to drive away new posters, continue in your current mode.

Uh, no? Thanks for the condescending advice but this has nothing to do with style, and I don't need to lurk more to know when someone is being rude. I can see the light just fine, thanks.

If you think PG is bad AcridSheep... you would hire a hitman for Vox's snark. After a while you just get use to how certain members respond...they are all mostly helpful when needed seriously. PG always answers questions on his blog to strangers...

Sorry, man. I think you are taking me the wrong way and missed my point. Like I said, it used to be much more harsh- to the point where you would not feel comfortable posting a sub par fit (thats why i never posted my own bullshit

At least you know it's bad.
Don't worry about that buttoning point(at least it's hiding that massive spare tire), worry about those clown-HUGE pants.
And you shouldn't be drinking. You're fat and should double up on the statins ASAP.

I could have just said, "pants look a little big"...seems that you don't mind rude comments.

Right on. I agree.... I'm fat, my clothes fit poorly, my pants are huge, I indulge in vices I shouldn't, and I am obviously an asshole. Enough bickering on my part. I was just trying to add some value to thread through visual fodder, as that what the thread is about right? Post a fit or something. It can be kind of fun to see the creative insults people come up with.

+1000 respect for a willingness to admit to being an asshole. From one to another.

I'm trying to stay out of this brewing storm, but I do see what you're thinking about the button stance. Also, what made you choose that shirt to go with that jacket?

Just a knit wool tie. I'm not sure about the type of wool or anything, there are some which aren't fuzzy at all. The tie you quoted in my pic looks sort of like a cashmere tie though, if you want to look at some pics of those, they're fuzzy too. Just look up wool & cashmere ties.

I'm a bigger guy, and I quite like NDW's fit. I think the buttoning position gives the coat some elegance and helps elongate the legs. Likewise I don't mind the fuller trouser. I know for myself at around 100kgs, a 44 shoe and 40ish true waist, if I wear overly narrow trousers I look overly top heavy with massive feet and skinny ankles. I say good job here.
Dressing at a larger weight is a lot trickier than skinny guys realize. The proportions that get lauded on smaller builds often need to be disregarded, as trying to achieve that look would be a mistake. Just my opinion as a fat guy, but I always a rate a good big fit higher than a good thin one. once you learn the basics about where your natural waist is and how long to cut your sleeves, most slim guys can throw on a purple label suit and look the business. Gain 30kgs and it's a lot tougher.
