Yesterday's self-imposed homework assignment was to assemble an outfit in which all sliders were on the 10 side of the Country-City scale. Today I tried going the other way but quickly realized that an All-1 outfit for me would be polypropylene shirt, nylon pants, polyester fleece sweater, SmartWool socks, and hiking boots.

So where do the pieces in today's outfit fall on the F. Corbera Continuum? (I'm especially curious about the shoes because, although they are heavily brogued, they're still bals, not bluchers.)

Maybe a more earth toned tie would have put this into the "country" zone but I like the colors all the same.

I think that if the predominant pieces (jacket, trousers) were browns/tans as opposed to greys it would read more 'country', but I only say that considering that you are trying to get as far to that side of the continuum as you can today. I think what you're wearing looks pretty good regardless of the continuum.

Colors are coming out a bit weird in the second photo in particular...trousers are a chocolate brown

Awesome look! What kind of fabric is the suit made of? Also loving the tie, although I'm not a fan of orange, in general.

I need your help. Please- a young guy with a limited wardrobe.

And I do know that's a poor imitation of a three-piece. Dad had it for his tuxedo (yes, I know), and while I was able to point out his errors, I am in need of more professional assistance.

It is of interest indeed, very nice overcoat. Who makes it?

RLPL. A few years or so old now, but heavy enough that it only really gets worn when it gets really cold.
