i can't quite figure out what victorsf is saying... can someone help me decipher this message?

i had mentioned that my french cuffs were pushing my suit jacket sleeve up because the cuffs are so big
and i had a hard time trying to keep the right amount of cuff showing

Summary:

To dress shirts with double cuffs is recommended to choose a jacket with a slightly enlarged end of the sleeve. This is considered the classic form of sleeves for use with shirts with French (double) cuff.

Slim sleeves end in many contemporary and fashionable jacket is not very suitable for a double cuff shirts. Such a wide cuff and often sticks out a narrow sleeve fashion jacket.

I like the shirt with double cuff cufflinks and under so I order a jacket with a slightly enlarged end of the sleeve. This is a classic shape, proven over decades. Recommend.

Hopefully this will all read. I apologize for graamati and construction of phrases. I write through the translator.

Feedback given, where appropriate, by way of Thumbs, as usual.

I like it when you keep it quiet. Your clothes, I mean. Of course. Very nice, HF.

HF, tried to comment in the thumbs-up section, but it didn't go through. I wanted to say, this is one of your best fits in recent memory. Are the sleeves of this jacket slimmer than your others? Wonderful tie. In all, a great fit.

Gnatty and spoo both have great neck-wear today. I saw deets on spoo's. Any Deets on Gnatty?

Thanks Victor.

The word for suit is the same as the word for costume in Russian, I see. In English, "costume" has a rather different meaning to "suit". Although it may be that your translator has a pointed sense of humour, as it isn't the first time my outfits have been described as costume! :)

Anyway, the suit's not mohair, but normal wool. I don't think there's any angora in it, but can't remember for sure.

I like it when you keep it quiet.

Your clothes, I mean. Of course.

Very nice, HF.

Thanks; only on SF - or in my wardrobe - is a windowpane suit, with a striped shirt, textured tie, pocket square and suede shoes considered quiet rather than eccentric... :)

Sometimes comments don't go through; sometimes a page refresh causes them to reappear, but rarely even that doesn't work. Think it's a software bug.

The sleeves aren't any slimmer; in fact, if anything, everything on this suit is looser than some other items I have. Photos sometime lie. :)

Either that, or the way the fabric hangs around me just works OK. Thanks for the compliment though; in fact, I was partly inspired by a fit I saw recently on here (maybe even from yourself; I'm not sure who to credit, exactly) that combined brown and grey in a way I thought was interesting and worth experimenting with myself in my own way. SF is still good for getting inspiration like that.

Today in photos of the bag Berluti

I bought a bag yesterday in Moscow provider who orders the goods from Italy
About the price - there are notably Russia. Our prices for such goods are often overestimated by 2-3 times compared with European and American. This is especially marketing and customs in Russia. Very sad but fact is fact.
The bag had a price-list price in Russia about 2000-2500 Euro, I bought with a discount provided by the supplier.

Shoes on the photo today - it's Cheaney Grosventor

cufflinks - a Dunhill, Limited Edition, onyx and silver.

nice dunhill cufflinks. There is a bespoke cufflink thread regarding a pair of cufflinks a jeweler is working on with me, would be great to get your feedback in that thread, see the link in signature. also, great bags. beretta makes nice stuff from what i've seen. They have a similar bag for about 1200 euros (1950 USD) here (Suede and crocodile) http://www.madaboutown.com/bags/beretta-suede-briefcase.html What do you think? What other bags do you use?
