You know that old meme about women's menstrual cycles synchronising in an office? Welcome to the SF equivalent...

Spring tie, IMO, although some color will do no harm in this grey city.

I usually lurk, but this compelled me to post.
Your style is starting to converge. This looks great.

For the deeply neurotic, or bored, some robotic fit pics in the spoiler below. I am personally very happy indeed. It's probably my favourite bespoke piece from Ede. After some wearing, I may take the trousers in for a little finessing based on the rear photo... but the opening caught on my left shoe, so that side's rippling is down to that. That on my right leg may just be a postural effect in the photo.. In all likelihood, I suspect I will be too lazy to get it adjusted. The sleeve length is a bit longer than SF-approved, but I like it like this. When in motion (eg the photo above), an appropriate amount of linen appears. My shirt happens to be a fraction short in the sleeves making the suit sleeves appear longer than they are IRL. Still, for those who enjoy the internet craft of nitpicking, have fun with these...

HF... I think many here have already said it. This suit looks amazing on your. Big change from your ususal selections which although are a bit on the looser side, are still nicely done. I find myself in much of the same predicament mainly because I'm a bigger framed guy (6'3" 255lbs). Most of my garments give that loose, flowy feel to them. Not bad but I've found myself wanting to get that more fitted or tailored look if you will. I wish my wallet was conducive of this feeling of mine however... but I digress.

I'll say it again for those that missed it... ^THIS SUIT IS AMAZING^

I'll give your best ever an inline requotation. Have Ede make that suit again and again in the future, but in a variety of fabrics.

Very nice, big C.

Ta very much! Yes, I'm really happy with how this turned out. Over the coming years, I'm sure my measurements will vary a bit and so things will need adjusting, but basically, that's it, I'm happy. It looks exactly how I imagined in my mind's eye; in fact, more flattering than that.

You know, one of my former tutors wore a very similar suit in a slightly different fabric all year round. I never asked if it was the same one all the time, or identical copies. I must admit thinking of him when commissioning this suit! I think I'll still enjoy having variety tho'... :)

^^^ From Tuesday

Sorry about the lack of details. Monday was my first day lifting after having my second back surgery, and it hurt to move just about everywhere.

Pants are from Bamford & Sons - a wool/cashmere flannel in light gray (thanks antirabbit!) Need to have them shortened a bit.

Shirt is a OCBD university stripe from BB

SC is a Gianluca Isaia unlined, no shoulder padding in a brown thornproof tweed with patch pockets

Shoes are Darltons

Edit: Wow, never again will I post a droid x cell phone pic laugh.gif Did not notice how bad it looks until now!

Yeah, probably that tie works better in spring and summer and actually so does the SC. I'm thinking of changing the buttons, maybe some dark brown horn buttons for the winter.

But I share that other thought as well...

Thanks for the thumbs, guys.

ed - thanks for the comment. I think the pics make the jacket look more grey and quieter than it actually is. It's actually a black pattern on white ground with a blue overcheck. This picture shows it a little better. Does that change your opinion at all or do you still think too muted a pattern?

(also you can see it next to a jacket that is truly a grey pattern at the bottom of this post: http://www.styleforum.net/t/245529/a-sam-and-david-hober-tie-appreciation-thread/675#post_5033201 )
