I wouldn't though, but then again I also haven't got any experience with Jantzen.

Function is a shaky basis on which to judge clothing. What is the function of the tie? French cuffs? Wingtips? Let's have the courage of our convictions and just say that it's ugly.

if anyone happens to like that Tom Ford pocket square, there may or may not be a FS thread with about 15 of them in a few hours. Dunno. devil.gif

I didn't say it was pathetic. It's certainly too ostentatious as a collar to be pathetic. It does look ridiculous though, and it looks ridiculous in the context of the entire ensemble, which is itself ridiculous. Oxfords with jeans, that shirt and the apparently intentional peeking olive green undershirt from behind it, the jacket which looks far more like a suit jacket than an odd one - it's a complete mixture of formalities and styles that does not cohere. It looks like some kid playing dress-like-a-grown-up, who has assembled what he believes are the pieces of a grown up outfit, but without any knowledge of whether the pieces are the ones he wants and how they are supposed to work. Given that it is the loudest piece of the ensemble, and the collar is the thing which stands out from the shirt, to say that it is the paramount of ridiculous within the outfit I think stands on its own. It is a fashionable monstrosity which is out of context on this forum.

There is a guy I work with that wears those double collar shirts. I think they are silly. Whenever I see some guy out in the city wearing one you can see the look on his face like he thinks his shit doesn't stink. It probably does though.

I'd hope he wears two ties to work.

Always tie-less, but he has four arms, so it makes up for it.

Got a well needed haircut and shaving today. Wanted to try out one of the latest ties I've made as well (raw silk with hand rolled tipping). I went a bit out of my comfort zone wearing a tie this S/S in the middle of December though.

Just having fun with it...
