Shoes are nothing special; black captoe oxfords in need of a brushing.
I'm fairly agnostic as to the exact style of navy overcoat I'm after; it's more a "I'll know it when I put it on" to be honest. I wouldn't mind either DB or SB, but if it's SB, I want some detailing to it rather than a plain (?french) front. No raglan sleeves, for sure, maybe some military details (I wouldn't mind chunky brass buttons or epaulettes, for instance). Buttons to be visible, not concealed. Basically, something interesting, that looks middling-formal in cut/style possibly with or without some fashion-lite touches, and in a solid navy pure wool (or cashmere). Fairly fitted since I generally wear tailored jackets so it would be nice for the overcoat to complement that.
haha, i think i know what you mean. you are kind of thinking of a jacket you would like, but probably doesnt exist, so you just keep looking hoping you will try on something that suits your fancy. ive been there. good luck in your search.
Very disappointing that I can't get a good photo of the Kent Wang PS.
It's quite luxurious -- perhaps a bit too formal for day-wear, in fact.
In the distance shot that tie looks incredibly washed out compared to the shirt. Up close, looks fine. This is also not the best jacket fit I've seen you drop here. Seems a bit boxy.
here's one pic
will take some more later
nothing too exciting
i think i took the waist in a little too much as the jacket feels a bit too snug ...
or maybe it's just all the thanksgiving feasting
