Is it DB that takes attention of anything else?

banis, I think the DB looks great on you -- more so than your SB numbers. The suit is very nicely cut and makes you look very balanced.

Ignore the negative criticism, it looks really good on you. I personally would make it less CBD and pair with a stripe shirts and funky tie.

Also I would get a more mirror shine the the shoe but it is up to you

The shape of the DB suits you, It looks professional, It is nice to have a different style of you slim short SB jackets

You have a stocky build. From the pics, the suit appears to enhance this. Being a DB is part of that, but more than that, it's the style of DB (quite wide lapels with some belly, 6x2 buttoning, etc) that I don't think works for you. Despite the waist suppression, the overall effect comes across (to me) as rectangular. If you're going for that, that's fine, but I suspect from your previous pics that that's not your preferred style at all. As an aside, talking of your previous pics, I don't generally think the amount of taper you have on your trousers is flattering, but I know you like them like that. Funnily enough, that isn't as much of an issue in this suit which seems to be much wider all through the leg (perhaps too much so in the upper leg). If you still wanted to try out a DB, I'd experiment with different lapel shapes, different lengths, different amounts of crossover, and different buttoning points with an aim of optically narrowing and lengthening you bit.

This is all personal preference stuff, as it totally depends on the look you're going for and whether you want to minimise or enhance aspects of your build. As I said, the colours are nice and the fit is basically OK (angled photos make it hard to tell), so if you're happy with the silhouette/style then you should ignore everything I'm saying! :)

Sorry man, too much 'blue' based colour

Everything looked perfectly fit (as usual for you), but since you trouser was grey POW check I would pick a grey colour tie to make the outfit more proportionate

It looks purely half blue, half grey.... if you know what I mean

shoes are great, belts are great.

- but I also agree with Holdfast's points of criticism, at least based on how the fit comes across in the full figure shot.

Thanks! I personally think that any comments are fine and consider it mostly always helpful. It is just someone's else point of view.

Thanks for your detailed reply.
Today's suit is RTW with some tweaks (the most important was shortening the jacket). It is Borrelli from about 2002-2003 and has a different aesthetics than more recent stuff. Pants have not been touched at all, except for the hem. They are a bit too baggy, but I didn't want to slim them because it could break the overall balance of the suit and it was difficult to predict how it may look like after slimming. I have a frontal view of this jacket and rectangular effect is less evident.

This suit is much different than most of my recent comissions. And I like each in its own aspect. As for the taper of the pants, altough I like it on myself, I agree with you and others who pointed that the taper is too severe. Together with the quite short pants it may look awful sometimes. I will try a bit longer and wider pants for my future comissions and will see how it turns out.

I always think it is good to have clothes in different style, it is not beneficial to stick with only one style.

For this outfit, It looks elegantly done, congrats

The first two shots are too bright, but the last two give me the general idea, and I like it

To me, your overall look lacks any elegance at all.

+1. All of your clothing makes you look like a growing boy, not a man. Trousers too short and too tight, jacket too tight. To me you always look like a toy in your pictures, don't know why.
