First post in WAYWRN. Finally decided to post here after getting what I consider proper shoes =P

Probably just the photo angle, but proportions look off here, and the jacket looks "flat" instead of shaped around you. Mind you, my own suit today shows a bit of this (perils of MTM) so I shouldn't critique it too much. Still, comes across a bit lifeless.

Won't add to the pile-on about the tie; I think you got that message already.

In these pics I'm wearing my newest shirt from Hemrajani Tailors and I'd like feedback on the collar choice. This is the widest spread I've ordered from them so far, and I think I like it quite a bit. Still looks like it may need to be taller, though. Please offer your opinions on its band height, point length, or spread width.

I know I'll take heat for this but I just can't seem to convince myself that a navy suit should go with black shoes.

Funnily enough, for me, navy pinstripe suits cry out for black shoes! Solid navy, esp. in a casual fabric (eg linen), sure, wear brown (if you really must), but for a businessy navy pinstripe, black shoes seem so much more right.

Love these colours; the grey and green are beautiful together.

The sun is back, hallelujah! That calls for linen, panama and crocodile (gator? can never remember) shoes... :)

Patterned tie + patterned shirt = no-no. (Isn't that an SF rule already?!) The trousers have too much break, IMO, and look funny with the shoes. Tie is a tad too wide for my tastes, and the trouser colour looks a little strange—could be a darker green. PS is miss-aligned, too.

I apologize if my posts to duplicate. Versed in the settings of the forum, I do not see my first message here.

Greetings to all!

I read this forum a few years.

There are a lot of interesting information and interesting people.

Decided to first write here.

Sorry, I do not speak English. I will try to translate and answer, but I can not promise.

Also, I apologize for grammar and spelling ...

I will upload pictures of what I wore today.
And also some old photos from its archive. As I was wearing the other days earlier.

Threadbearer: I like the spread. If Joe can make the front collar height taller without changing the back, that would be good.

A stirring performance by your fellow Aussie. Watched it with my boys. And the watch pics... :nest:
Looks like you have some Schwarzenegger going on in the shoulder area. Looks uncomfortable.

I always prefer the trousers with the cuffs. That tie is RUSTIC! Maybe just me, but I think it might be too fuzzy for the worsted in this look.

Does he have to wear a dunce cap, too?

VictorSF-

WELCOME! Not everyone will agree with each of your choices but you obviously have a sense of style, some nice coordination happening and a breath of fresh air to the forum.

There are a few Russian/Russian-speaking folks here.

Cheers-

I cant figure out how to take picture and get look lighting to show details so i only have a picture of it all together but the suit is a pinstripe with like an aqua blue (well some shade of blue) shirt with lines in it and the tie is probably my favorite.
cheers to a young mans first suit :D

Going to tread lightly here with minimal investment (as to avoid the probable :censored: moment). Here's my list*:

- Remove the sleeve tag immediately
- Learn to tie a double four-in-hand knot
- Learn to tighten your knots (so there is no separation at the collar)
- Wear a less electric shirt
- Wear a less predictable/dated tie

*My bluntness is not meant to be rude, but rather succinct and informative.

Nice use of gray suits today (Spoo, HF, and Victor who does seem to have some issues with shoulders / sleeves).

No good full length shots today, only closeups.

No, no, no. That is not an SF rule, unless this place has really gone to the dogs. Also, the pocket square alignment is fine. Jeez!

You're a dope. When people say you actually have good steez, I want to say, 'pics or GTFO!'. Unless very subtle, two patterns tend to not work well at all!

Not in a good way, though. Sorry Spoo, the rest is nice.

Wow, I can't believe you haven't been banned for 1. being a complete douche and/or 2. for having no steez-sense whatsoever!
