the tie nor the shoes are the problem here (for my tastes), you needed a solid light blue shirt and some light colored khaki's. That would bring the shoes and the tie "into" the outfit. As it is, the shirt kinda does not make sense and the pants don't really make any sense with the shoes or the coat.
