Nothing wrong with it. But the padding looks weird indeed.

pfffft. hardly offended ya big baby.

I gave the coat a shot for somehting different. I always prefer a 4 btn DB as well....and a softer shoulder, but at the time i wanted something a little trendier with a shorter length and stronger shoulders.

and stop lookin at my crank.

I agree with the padding. Would be better without it.

But for the not faint of heart, start here, and read through about four pages to get the photo-shopping. Then, wait for it... many pages later (here) comes Mr Sam for the win.

Jesus, was that not worth it. Looking through all that horrible shit and wanting to kill myself until I met Malakas, whose critical work I applaud and wish he would do the same here, although the tender buttons posting here would be thoroughly devastated--I know several would leave in tears and never come back for at least a week.

A guy in a white shirt and properly fitting clothes will never be the worst dressed poster in WAYW that day.
Yes, I agree with that as well. I was reacting to Matt's broader statement, rather than to this particular pairing.

I am grateful for the turn in this thread lately. Thoughtful opinions are why I come here and how I learn. Many of the old timers have earned my respect and that is why I follow this thread but, IMHO, criticism should be respectful and constructive. On the flip side, if you are not prepared for critcism you shouldn't post pictures here.

Yes, not bad at all. Retro looking jacket, I quite like the whole make up. Jacket a bit short, but who cares... it looks fine.

The Mabitex pants are a form of advertising. Also, the pattern is ugly. My $.02.

Probably not. Like many good things, part of the shock of wonderfulness is the comparison with the dreck around it.

But Malakas is Otter, and is to be put on ignore. Trust me on this one.

You could tighten this up nicely, but it isn't working as is.

See, what the old timers can do is to aim at high accuracy at things I sort of know aren't quite right but can't put my finger on, and then put the problems into words with an ease that sounds like arbitrary rules. And which lead to interesting questions like the ones Doc asked.
