I really like this. Everything works so well together, particularly the shirt and square. Coat looks like a great fit from what I can see. Poast more next time.

I'm having some second thoughts about posting this fit, but decided to anyway for the possible educational value. Quick background: I've lost about 60 lbs. (27 kg) over the last 10 months. I work in a job where I should be wearing a suit every day, but had stopped doing so because I couldn't fit in them anymore. Now that I'm approaching my target weigh I'm able to wear the few suits I had purchased before. This particular one was an entry-level MTM suit I had made about three years ago. At the time (way before I discovered SF), a black suit seemed like a good idea. I don't plan to wear it much anymore for work, but I have a big meeting tonight so I decided to try it.

I didn't realize how full the cut of the trousers is until I saw the photo. I'm heading to my tailor on Thursday to pick something up, and I think I'll see what she says about slimming the trousers a bit.

The whole package looks good (and the suit looks slate grey to me as opposed to black), and yes some the the details can be improved...but unless your meeting is with some picky SFers, you should be just fine. And your shirt collar and tie is very nicely proportioned to your build and the suit...and the white PS will help take some of the intensity off of the black suit.

Garrison is one of my favorite. Unfortunately, they made the sizing closer to normal now. The older (last season and onward) 40L fit me perfectly because it was basically a 38L. Now the 40L is closer to a real 40L and the 38R is slightly too short frown.gif.

Btw, I think I sold to someone in Australia that exact same suit. I wish I had it in my size. It's great.

Thanks, Gnatty. Here's a full-length, complete with end-of-the-day rumple and turtled shirt cuffs. I bought this suit at a consignment store, and the main button has a 1" shank. This picture shows me that I need to get that fixed.

Thanks guys, for all your feedback, groupthink on the repp tie, and comments on the coat. I think Im keeping it. Its a Caruso, by the way. 100% cashmere, lightly lined, super warm, and right up my alley. Kopped for an unbelievably good price. smile.gif
