* Fantastic Spoo - I'm a big fan of light trousers with tweed jackets. I hope to see lots of tweed in the next few months!

This is great how did you take this picture?  You look straight out of a 70's television set!

Full disclosure: it's actually a still from The Streets of San Francisco. Karl Malden was standing 10 feet away, but you might catch an edge of his nose, on the left.

Is it just me, or is anybody else experiencing a TC (Houston) flashback right now?

This is nice, sb, but I think you need either a white PS or one with more white in it than blue. Just a nit-pick.

That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw it.

My collar appears to be in some kind of crisis. How's everything else?

That tie knot needs work, check out Spoo's which are almost "always" tight and tidy!

Spoo-meister, I love the shoulders, lapels, and button placement of the coat, and I like the color. I think that your indecision on the coat is due to its length, or its length in juxtaposition to the formality of its silhouette. I will posit (theorize, assume) that the coat is not overly warm - not heavily lined - more the weight of a top coat than a true overcoat. If that is so, and that you believe that you'd have a use for it, either formally or informally (the length gives it a range of possibilities for being worn with less formal attire than a suit), then I think that it could be a useful and fun part of your coat wardrobe. If it is heavily lined, or indeed very warm, it might be a shade impractical at its length for keeping you warm below the waist.

FWIW, then . . .

sc and pants work very well together. change the shirt and you're done. can't see the shoes, though. probably too much contrast...

Hmmm. I agree that a white PS would work, but why do you think this one doesn't?

(EDIT: Thanks!)
