Spoo-meister, I love the shoulders, lapels, and button placement of the coat, and I like the color. I think that your indecision on the coat is due to its length, or its length in juxtaposition to the formality of its silhouette. I will posit (theorize, assume) that the coat is not overly warm - not heavily lined - more the weight of a top coat than a true overcoat. If that is so, and that you believe that you'd have a use for it, either formally or informally (the length gives it a range of possibilities for being worn with less formal attire than a suit), then I think that it could be a useful and fun part of your coat wardrobe. If it is heavily lined, or indeed very warm, it might be a shade impractical at its length for keeping you warm below the waist.

sc and pants work very well together. change the shirt and you're done. can't see the shoes, though. probably too much contrast...
