HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part III - Page 738

The box-pleat pockets with flaps stood out to me when I picked it up in Poland. It's an interesting style, one that I feel only looks good on casual fabrics (thus the corduroy). The only time it gets hot in San Francisco is Sept-Oct; otherwise it stays around 60-ish.

Granted, I bought the jacket was when I was 22. I may have had too many beers since then smile.gif

It ain't easy - but worth it.

Until I turned 30 I couldn't put on a pound no matter how hard I tried. Now of course it's the other way around.

I presume that these are fabrics for a MTM or bespoke commission. Do you already have your basics covered? These all seem like fourth- or fifth-suit fabrics rather than core items. I've resisted the conventional wisdom on this subject, but the closer I get to commissioning a suit, the more reasonable it seems.

EDIT: Got it. What Will You Be Wearing In The Future?

Indeed they are. I have the basics covered as well as I care to. Navy three piece, charcoal pinstripe, tan nailhead, chocolate... I'm sure I could round that out to be more tradly and conventional, but I have no wish to. Going in the first time I had the same thought - do something conventional, probably a solid navy. Getting in and looking though was totally different. An excellent point was made that if I'm having a suit made, I should have something made that I will like, wear, and be able to wear for the foreseeable future. That's what the mess and the swatches come down to.

It can happen before 30 too. I was at ~150 before my divorce started at 24, at which time I shot up to 190. In the two years since then I've remarried and that's ended and I'm back at 165.

It's the same, Spanish it's pretty versatile and complex in some ways

thanks
i'm glad i kept the shoes
i like the color... although i don't think the leather is a very high quality one
i am definitely going to save up for a nicer pair of shoes now
maybe even a nice pair of double monks

the tie ... it's a "handmade" grenadine tie (that's what it's called, right?)
i bought two of them in a little street shop while i was in korea earlier this year, one blue and one burgundy
there's no way i can tell anyone how to find the shop though.. i would have to retrace my steps to find it again
it's really a hole in the wall
somewhere in "Namdaemun" aka "Big Southern Gate" part of Seoul

the best part? each tie cost less than $15
if i get a chance to visit korea again, i am definitely going to stock up on some more
