Sweden might be the responsible party and they might not allow certain products/chemicals to be shipped.

Redgraves are awesome!

I think you're partially correct, there appears to be some restrictions on import of aerosols into Sweden, but there are also restrictions on the export of aerosols from the UK. The Redgraves are great and they'll enter my casual rotation once I've got my hands on some Invulner.

Wait, what? "AS Exclusive cannot be shipped outside of the EU"

Well, the three pairs of AS Exclusives I've bought from Sarah & Julian disagree... is this a new thing?

That would put a damper to things...

There are always ways around this sort of stuff.

This is really interesting. I ordered and received some AS Exclusives from AFPS too but I am wondering why that message is there. It might be that AS does not want AFPS to sell their shoes outside of EU to protect their stockist in US and Asia. I would not be surprised if AS is doing that. Crockett and Jones did something similar to P.LAL

It is true, sadly. I was informed of by by email after ordering an AS and I quote

"I'd like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to the fact that since January 15th (today) we are now no longer able to sell AS Exclusive outside of the EU market due to AS licensing agreements. In future therefore we would only be able to sell you AS Country, Sanders, accessories etc and not AS Exclusive standard collection. Since your Radwell order is already in place, we will of course honour this, but sadly after today that will no longer be possible. We hope to be able to continue with our hugely successful MTO SF programme though, since these would be shoes not available elsewhere they would not fall under the rules of any licensing agreement."

yet more confirmation of what i was told by Sid Masburn. he was indicating he could no longer order Exclusives MTO though.

another post seems to say the MTO program through AFPoS is still possible . . . . or have i misread ?

I believe Julian and Sarah are working on this but I am sure we will get more details soon enough. Let's cross our fingers that this service will still be offered. We were just getting the ball rolling!

Indeed,

I really want to get boots with the ridgeway sole, I am willing to go alone for this if necessary but I rather go through group order.

This is the dumbest policy ever on behalf of AS not AFPoS. I think they should capture the market share before customers go elsewhere. There are many better and equally good makers at these price points. They should build customers and reward loyalty not the other way around. Protecting one store like Leffot is a lousy policy. Leffot does not carry many sizes & styles and have the worst selling practices in the industry. Short term limiting policies are lousy for customers, sellers, and the AS brand. For my money, G&G is better than anything AS would ever turn out.

I think the Aerosol restriction is a UK resrtiction in the first place, so whatever your countrys policy is Aerosols cannot be shipped from the UK. I am in Ireland and when placing an order with AFPoS I was unable to include the Saphir Invulner because of the Aerosol restriction, I was however able to order it directly from Saphir in France without issue.

I think most/all carriers have restrictions on shipping aerosol via air transport.
I know UPS/USPS/Fedex do.
