A Fine Pair Of Shoes: Official Affiliate thread - Page 19

I just bought this pair http://www.afinepairofshoes.co.uk/collections/uk-size-9-5/products/crockett-jones-guildford which I think will go nicely with anything from a suit to a crisp dark pair of jeans. Julian kindly indulged me in answering all sorts of questions related to the last, the fit and lots of shoe talk never once making me feel like I was taking up too much of his time.

I'm very keen to get them and I think my shoe shopping is over for the time being. Yes, really :)

I only wish I was in Leamington Spa so I could have popped in myself.

I'm looking at Pimlico from the new Alfred Sargent Exclusive Collection.
Does anyone have any first hand reviews? Thoughts?

The stitching is in tan thread and the sole is double leather closed channelled stitched with a quarter tip heel.
We have called this boot "The Kernel".
We will be making this up as a limited edition boot with each pair of boots numbered inside. The price is £420 inc VAT.
If you would like to order this, we will be putting a link on our website, but until then let us know what you think.
Kind regards, Julian

Unique looking boot and I like the little branding on the pull-tab. Personally not much of a suede guy but for those who are this might be worth a look. I also like the broguing around the laces.

Yes, there is a medallion on the toe of the AS Stiles, very subtle I agree.

Kind regards

Hi Julian,

Since you are around I thought I'd ask if lasted trees are available for the Alfred Sargent Exclusive Line?

My Guildfords arrived and they are beautiful! I can't see why they'd be seconds but there you go! I've put some conditioner on them and might give them their first outing tomorrow.

A big thank you to Julian for a great transaction and for the nice gift that was included! It's wonderful to find a business where the people love what they do and it really shows in their dealings.

I was about to buy a pair of Loake Pimlico, but when I placed the shoes in the cart I got an error message about them being sold out. Will you get a restock on them in the near future?

I too wanted to order some Loake Pimlicos, but my size was sold out. I emailed them to inquire about when they would restock, they replied:

"Hello, we have some on order and hope they'll be back in stock before Christmas."
