I sent them back, cost me $55. In the end, all things considered, I paid full price and got free trees.

Ah yes, the cost of buying shoes from overseas without the benefit of trying them on first to determine proper sizing. Something I'm all too familiar with, unfortunately.

How does one qualify for discounted trees if the total is 250 pounds with VAT taken out?

Gyasih, I'm assuming you are in the US...
You don't;you pay the difference between the free belt and the regular price of the trees.

Well see that's my point, i'm looking at the Herricks on AFPOS website, and without VAT the total is 250 pounds. I don't qualify for the free belt because i am not spending 300 pounds on a pair of shoes. How did it work for you is my question...
Sorry, the belt would be free. They are honoring that, although VAT drops the price of the shoes to 250gbp.

A generous offer indeed, thank you for clarifying...

Just arrived from AFPOS - AS Charlton in dark brown pinner suede. Really happy with these and looking forward to wearing them soon.

Nice! If AS makes a chukka on the 724 with the same suede material and natural edge it would blow the C&J Tetbury out of the water!

Moores are en route!
