A rather neato pair of cufflinks, perhaps circa 1950s-60s?, of STERLING with an obvious gold plating....with a definitely-different motif including textured blocks/bars in high relief, within a frame. They kinda look like your holding of gold bars you were wise enough to buy a few years back.... {Actually, I woulda told you to buy silver, and you woulda been really happy I did....}

They are 1/8" deep, but look like twice that when viewed from above due to the clever design and good execution. The 'bars' have a fine texturing, and are in a nice offsetting matte gold finish, in contrast to the polished 'frames'. -- Looking at them through a glass, I note a cross-hatched texturing, yielding fine diamond-form detail yet....interestingly, the ends or sides of a few blocks are smooth! Definitely some great detail, and impressive 'process' here.....

Articulating straight links. In very nice condition. They have a bit of 'heft' in-hand.... A nice way to 'hold' silver, figuratively, and literally.....

I'spose they can be worn in either orientation....and, the 'sharks' out there may like the FIN form.....

Both impressed 'STERLING' on reverse. 1 1/4" x 9/16"

These are, lacking a more appropriate term....cool....and you will find yourself keeping them on your desk and picking them up frequently to look at 'em! - Yes, I should hang onto them. Yes, you have a window-of-oportunity to grab them until I realize my error.... WAIT...what?
