FS: Omega Seamaster Professional - Blue Bond - 2531 - All boxes/papers

For sale is an Omega Seamaster Professional Ref. 2531 (the original Omega Bond watch) in excellent condition. The watch comes as a complete package: all boxes, paperwork, links, cards, etc. The watch has never been polished, opened or altered in any way. The red dot is still intact. The watch is running within cosc specs and the crown and bezel wind smoothly. Please note that the second hand tip has faded to a pale orange/pink (which, for me, looks alot better than the deep red tip). The pictures accurately portray the condition of the watch. The bracelet and crystal are perfect. The clasp has a few hairline, superficial scratches that could easily be worked out should you so desire.

Price - $1525 shipped

Put on at the factory. If the dot is broken, the watch has been opened up for one reason or another(repair, servicing, etc).

For collecting, you want a dot that's unbroken. For functionality, you probably want a watch that's been serviced.

Was wondering the same thing?

I never knew that about the red dot but it is a very interesting thing to know.

This will be the last bump ( unless someone else feels differently ).

But, again, how old is the watch, and is it automatic or quartz.

You obviously have interest from potential buyers. Do you really want to sell?

It is automatic model judging from "chronometer" marking on the face, not sure about the year though. I believe this model was discontinued and now it's only available with co-axial movement.
