Levis 514, raw - Page 8

Ok, I must have missed them then. I went up to the second floor and asked the girl working there where the 514 rigid scraped was. She said they only had rigid in 501's and directed me toward the main area for 514's.

Saw them and tried it on at the LEvi's store on Robson in Vancouver. The fake creases were ugly, and weren't nice enough for the $70 price tag. Too bad though, I really liked the fit. The indigo also seemed unique as well, more greenish

I used to love the 514 fit...until I got the Morrison. Now I love my jeans more tapered.

i'm selling mines if anyone wants. i've worn them probably less than 5 times. size is 29x30.

If i wear 32x32 in 501's raw, should i get 32x32 for the 514 rigids?

501 raw? stf? or u meant rinsed?

Alright I am going to make an update on mine (which I got back in early November). I'll also try to get pictures as soon as I can get a hold of a camera.

I've been wearing the jeans a lot, almost every day for the last 3 months and so far things have gone really well with them. They have lost a lot of the shiny look to them and are starting to fade (though rather unevenly but that's normal). It doesn't look like it is the highest quality denim in the world. It is very soft so it is really hard to get good creases into them.

They are very good jeans though. I like the greenish indigo color. They haven't stretched much (a little at the waist and knees) either and the the odd creases that came in the beginning are gone. I am planning on washing them around in May and I will definetly come back and give everyone an update on how that went. So far I'm a little skeptical on how it will turn out but I don't really have any experience (I have never seen a pair of raw jeans so I wouldn't know how this compares).

I want to see pictures of other people's jeans so I can compare them to how mine turned out. Maybe I haven't been abusing them enough.

My 514s ripped apart the first time I wore them. I like the cut though... Can anyone recommend jeans that are cut the same way as the 514, but not the miserable quality? Thanks

If you like your jeans skinny, 511s can had be for around $30 if you shop around, and they can be had in raw. I've said this before probably, but what I spent and what I got, these are amazing.

I've been wearing these on and off since late November. Just started wearing them more frequently in the past month because of the fit. Haven't washed them yet but I spilled beer on them about 3 times over the weekend, so I might have to soon . Very curious as to how they'll come out, not sure about how good fading will look on that green cast denim. I'm thinking cold wash w/ Woolite dark, inside out.

Which color did you get the 511 raw's: black, rail, riff or worn? How is the fit compared to the 514? Is the fit identical or are there any noticeable differences?
