When they were a part of Prada group, they were made in Prada's facilities (along with Jil Sander, Miu Miu, etc.) As well, most all the HL shoes I saw weren't welted, but were blake stitched (or, hate to say... some were just glued.) They're excellent "designer" shoes, VERY high on style and flare, but they definitely weren't (nor meant to be) Edward Green or Lattanzi. Most of the standard leather models were in the $400-500 range, and the $1200 price on these is given that it's genuine python (which is quite pricey) and probably not on the construction details. I could be wrong, but I think these are S/S 2004 or 2005... though on some "classic" styles Lang repeated models for various seasons. Anyway, great shoes, true classics from a better HL era! He's since retired, and the brand is now owned by Theory and decidedly down market. Best of luck with the sale, and so sorry they don't fit you!

From 1997-2004 or so, HL made up (literally) half or more of my wardrobe. I just loved his stuff, the fits were perfect for me, and they always flew under the radar while being interesting. I've since moved on, especially since HL himself retired back in 2005, but seriously I must have had dozens of shoes, bags, shirts, jeans, pants, suits, etc etc from HL, when he was made by gibo until 99, and then during the Prada years. I even had about 10 pairs of HL socks. These shoes are definitely from the later Prada years. Wish they were my size, or that I had use for white python loafers.
