I can feel the money draining from my account. Ive been wanting some Lobb double monks for awhile now. Every other pair of double monks ive bought are just to scratch the itch.

A watch collector friend of mine gave me sound advice that applies to my shoes as well...the most expensive watch youll ever buy is the one you bought instead of the one you really wanted. Just insert "shoes" where "watch" is.

The sexiest Lobb double right now is the 2010 Saint Crepin in that cabernet (?) misty calf. Almost pulled the trigger last week at the Madison store but ultimately decided they were too much like my William II's

I think this in a cinnamon brown suede was perhaps the most beautiful pair I've ever seen. They brought them to a Lobb trunk show at Wilkes Bashford a few years ago.

The shape of the shoe is very refined and elegant, but I'm not a fan of the buckles myself. I prefer the Chapel style buckle myself.

I never liked the weird stitching going on in the 2010 SC.
