I have a Jetbeam E3S XPG-R4 which puts out 155 lumens on a single AA and a Nitecore DFI XPE-R2 which puts out 145 lumens on a single AA. Both of which are very pocket friendly and shines a blinding amount of light, good enough to fully light up a large room/long hallway/dark stairwell/etc.
You should look into these online retailers like:
GoingGear,
4Sevens, and
BatteryJunction amongst others.
GoingGear also does great reviews on lights through their
Youtube channel.
Here's some lights that I've recommended to a few SFers:
1 cell CR123 lights:Quark MiniX 123 -210 lumens.
Quark 123 Tactical R5 -205 lumens, SFer
gettoasty has this.
ThruNite Neutron 1C XML -255 lumens.
Sunwayman V10R R5 -210 lumens, magnetic control system.
Sunwayman V10R R5 Ti -210 lumens, magnetic control system. Baller version of the above in titanium.
1 cell AA lights:ThruNite Neutron 1AA XML -145 lumens.
Zebralight SC51 -200 lumens on a single AA is very impressive.
Sunwayman V10A R5 -140 lumens, magnetic control system.
2 cell CR123 lights:EagleTac P20C2 MKII R5 -300 lumens.
EagleTac P20C2 MKII XML -Updated version of the above, 524 lumens.
Quark 123² Turbo "X" -Uses the latest XML emitter and puts out 450 lumens.
Quark 123² Turbo, R5 Edition -Although it doesn't put out as much light as the above(this puts out 230 lumens), it uses the older R5 emitter which can throw farther whereas XML emitter lights put out a giant wall of light in your immediate vicinity. Really up to you as far as preference goes.
2 cell AA lights:EagleTac P20A2 MKII -230 lumens and R5 emitter.
EagleTac P20A2 MKII XML -271 lumens, updated version of the above.
ThruNite Neutron 2AA 2 x AA XM-L LED Flashlight -260 lumens.
4Sevens Quark AA² Tactical, R5 Edition -205 lumens.
But yeah, as far as choosing; just read specs, compare, watch videos(a lot of video reviews are on youtube), and read reviews.
