I'm wearing some light gray Ambrosi flannels today. They may have taken awhile to arrive, but I never think about it now. I just think about how nice they are.

I was really frustrated with the delay. I was in Napoli and pants should have been sent to me in a week time. I was told that they were shipped and so on. Afterwards, there were no replies at all.
After more than a month since pants should have been delivered, I finally received my order.

Am I satisfied with the pants? Yes, I do, they are great and fit good. Salvatore is also a great guy when you meet him. But southern mentality together with the huge amount of orders make service not best. I would order pants from him in the future, but would prefer to have fitting and pick them by myself in Napoli, as it is the best option for me.

I don't think there is really such a thing as a "delay" in Naples. You order, forget about it, then get it when it's done

Am told only father and son do the cutting and around 20 tailors working with them to put the trousers together. Korea is the first region with a representative to handle orders...as this is an area which has given them ample business Perhaps there will not be a lack of communication on his part when your order is ready and full payment is due

Banis makes a good point about expediting the process...go to Naples for a fitting and pick up the trousers their Just wondering, has anyone ordered their trousers and received the final product, without a fitting, and was satisfied with the fit?

Indeed, visiting is always the better option. However, I agree with Manton"”even if Salvatore takes his time, he always deliver. That's good enough for me. I am in no hurry.

I ordered two pairs as an initial order and had a fitting. Although they fit and I am mostly satisfied with the fit, I think that small tweaks are still needed. So, I would not risk and go with ordering without fitting.

No doubt he would deliver. What I find the most unappropriate is not communicating at all. I don't think that it is solely Ambrosi's attitude towards his clients, it is the way people are used to make business in the southern Europe. You are either ready for this type of attitude, or get used to it if you really want those products.

The good thing about Ambrosi is that he is a young dude. Some of the Italian tailors are pushing their 70's or more, I'd be really worried if they do not deliver on time. With Ambrosi, at least you know he's got a good 20 years to deliver on the goods.

Not only in southern Europe. Based on my experience, some English tailors behave no better.

I am still waiting for two pairs of pants. One was ordered in 2009 summer, another was autumn 2009 too. Fitting was spring 2010. Many communications back and forth from then, and I was told pants are done but haven't received yet.

I was out for a while and there was a DHL sticker on my door when I returned. Couldn't figure out what it was for. Now I know! Well Binge, how do you like them? Posting pics?
