Seeing this, I wonder which current car will age the best ?

Love those 911's since I was a kid. I NEED one.
Gonna look for a mid 1980's model soon.
Can you say, mid-life crisis?

wow, that car is just..

Porsche's cars change so little you can pretty much bet that their lineup is going to look good forever.

love these cars, but I would rather have an '80's LWB Carrera or even a 964 C2 made up to look like one of these.

That's an amazing car. I'm pretty sure it will be out of my price range though.

These things were only like $6-7K when they were new back then, though.

In 1970 my dad bought his house for £20k.

haha. My parents bought a house along the beach in Australia in the late 70's for about $50K - big boom and the houses there are all now just about a milli. So I guess considering that, $7K for a 1970 911 would've been quite a lot. A 240Z was like what, $2500?

A friend of mine had one of these. I drove it and didn't like it. They are hard to drive. Yea, I know, thats the way a racing car is supposed to be...blah. blah, blah. But if you want an enjoyable ride get a new Porsche or another car.

I would much rather have McQueen's Jaguar

Or his Ferrari (NART Spyder)

It used to be said that a new Rolls-Royce was always the price of a middle-class home. My 1966 Silver Shadow was $19,600 new, about what our house cost back then (4 br, 2ba).

I've watched the opening scene from "LeMans" too many times to count... I like that Porsche more, and more, and more... Give me a 964 anyday... (Call me a minority) But this thing is absolutely stunning...

Why an 80's one? Why not a modern one: http://www.singervehicledesign.com/

because the Singer is a turnkey hot rod vehicle that costs about $200K, and I think I can make a 230'ish hp '80's Carrera look like a convincing '60's one for about $50K or less.
