Dry Creek Vineyard 2007 Fumà Blanc

Mmm, quite nice with my salumi, baguette, and olive luncheon. On warmer days I prefer a crisp, floral Sauvignon Blanc; but on a cooler day like today, I very much enjoy the tart apple sweetness of the Dry Creek.

double espresso here.

I've been at work since 7 am and I don't see leaving in the next few hours. G+T sure would be dandy though.

I had honestly never tasted Jameson before tonight. I bought the 12 yr old. The nose is sherry, a little sour mashy, with maybe a hint of vanilla and leather. Taste is smooth sherry that is initially bittersweet and slowly turns bitter. It also has a tiny bit of spiciness. The taste lasts about 30 seconds on the tongue.

Overall, I enjoy it very much and I could see this being a regular staple in my bar.

Noice.

Had a nice splash of the PVW 15 the other day. That 20 is certainly in my future.

Finished off my bottle of The Compass Box's "Peat Monster." What a disappointing malt

Just got home, not nearly as bad of a night as I expected.

Still, a G+T is necessary. 2 parts Hendrick's, 1 part tonic. Now I'm off to read...
