Well after posting saying how I'll look for some Fever Tonic, I haven't really gotten out of my house yet but I did look it up, and CalgaryHerald reports that for $5 you can get four small bottles of their tonic water at various select gourmet shops :O I'll make some trips tomorrow and looking at some reviews looks like it I'll have to start replacing Schweppes with Fever's!

For now until tomorrow... a G&T with Hendrick's and Schweppes, with a slice of cucumber.

I finished a bottle of Caol Ila last night, not sure if Monday was really a Caol Ila night, but ey. My girlfriend is being weird to me, so Tuesday night might be a Balvenie DW opening ceremony.

Ha, yes, that's the one. I think you may have reversed the order you wanted... I can't think of any Caol Ila bottling with less impact than the Double Wood.

What draws you to the 12 over the 18? I had some of the latter recently in a session

I'm guessing you like that the 12 is more in your face than the 18? That is valid. I like the 12 a lot, but for me the cherry and vanilla make it little too sweet. I like how the wood tempers that in the 18. Different strokes...

Don't really care for either for the exact reason ama mentioned... but I'd rather be drinking the 18yr out of the pair.

Bought some bottles of Fever Tree tonic water after looking through 3 shops. Gotta say, it's really good, better than the Schweppes I always had. Crisp and clean! Currently having a G&T with Sapphire, lime garnish and Fever Tree tonic.

The semester is finished for me, so I'm celebrating with a martini now that I no longer have to limit my intake of depressants to stay awake for work. Using Seneca Drums, a nice craft gin from the finger lakes, and a twist. Actually, all the liquor in there is from the finger lakes. Tribuno vermouth comes from there too, though it ain't a high end product.
