You know, I'm pretty sure that's the first time I've ever heard somebody deride an Islay malt and then go on to describe a blended whiskey as "real Scotch" . . .

Drinking Antesite. A licorice extract that you add water to, which makes a very aromatic and thirst quenching beverage. Reminds me of my childhood. Comes from France and difficult to find in North America.

Gentlemen! Why fight amongst ourselves about the manliness of our malts? Should we not instead reserve our scorn and disdain for those "men" who drink Cosmopolitans? Midori Sours? Who, heaven help us, order their whiskey "on the rocks" when they order it at all!? Gentlemen: these are our enemies. Let us turn our hatred on them, and not on our amber allies.
