I like it!

I can't get Lillet Rouge where I live, but I imagine that this is very similar. Anyone who has tried both care to comment?
I much prefer the Lillet.

gin martini, 6 to 1 North Shore #11 gin and Vya dry vermouth

The NS #6 is good, but very different. The # 11 is more like the gins I have enjoyed before (ie Tanq. and Hendricks).

Tonight was full of drinks. (No drunk posting or time-out though.)
Some North Shore G&T's, a 23 yr dark rum, and a couple scotches.

Lots of sugar free redbulls. I needed to stay awake through a poker tourny.

Had a selection from my Obama portfolio. $20, Bueller Cab Sav, 2005. WS gave it 91, I think. Had it with a big juicy steak, grilled asparagus, and garlic mashers. Went very well.

Some good drinkin' here of late. Tonight, on Piobaire's most excellent recommendation, I am drinking a Bobbie Burns: 2 oz JW Black 1 oz Vya Sweet Vermouth 1 barspoon Drambuie Fabbri cherry Now I love both a Rob Roy with JW Black for it's mellow smokiness, and I also greatly enjoy the Rusty Nail (1:1 or thereabouts JWB and Drambuie), so I find this excellent. The herbal qualities of the Drambuie definitely come through and work well with the similar notes in the Vya. The touch of sweetness is not amiss, either, though for me it relegates this to an after-dinner libation. +1 Pio. ~ H

I still owe you for turning me on to Vya. It's a revelation.
