What kind? I have been wanting to buy some but know nothing about what makes a good sherry.

Lustau, Dry Oloroso, Don Nuno. Lustau makes very good sherries in general and the Don Nuno I think is their best. It is a nice drink before of after dinner.

Nope. I don't think they've bottled anything worthy yet, and it doesn't look like a good vintage at all! The little one won't get his 12 Latour

Thanks, he's already walking and getting him dressed is evenmore difficult than it used to be...

Lustau is quite good and readily available, I drank some "East India Solera" which was very nice, at 20 euros a bottle or so.
I think I still prefer Madeira over Sherry though.

Damn, that looks good.

What you can't see is that the "wooden countertop" is actually an ikea cutting board sitting on top of the fridge--there's no built in counterspace in the kitchen! Ah well, I'm making do. So far so good. The espresso was weak for my taste though.

I know it doesn't count, but last night I opened some Laurent Charvin 2005 Côtes du Rhône, already very expressive and a mere 7.5 euros.

I have been filling my addiction to Pocari Sweat, thank you Hiroko! A friend brought me 6 bottles and a pack of powder for helping her with her computer, that was a couple of days ago. I have been trying to pace myself but I drank all of the bottles and one packet of powder already. I swear its like Heroin.
