Bohemia. Pleasantly surprised. Not a fancy beer at all but good for a summer day I would say.

Lenoble Brut Intense Champagne. Certainly nothing outstanding, but I can't believe I found it for $18.99 on the clearance rack at a PA government wine store.

Tailspin (Jewel)

Millers Westbourne Strength Gin
Carpano Antica Vermouth
Green Chartreuse

A note on French 75's: for the gin version, try a dash of Fee Brothers Grapefruit Bitters. Ups the complexity and very harmonius.

Hunts, I saw some Oban DE in a store last weekend. I keep wanting to go back and get it, solely based on your recs. I've never tried it. I'm am going to be near that store today and am trying to decide if I should stop in and get it.

^ Get it. It's my favorite when I want a 'dry' scotch, a savory one, if you will, rendolent of sweet seasides and salt spray. About $80 is part, have bought as low as $45. It has a lot of Islay's seaside character, but without the smoke.

Are there scotches that you like at present? I'd also think Talisker DE for you if you like peat, as the pepperyness of it is redolent of a good rye.

A friend was talking about Johnny Walker Double Black Label.
From what I googled, its currently only available at duty-free shops in a few selected airports and will be available from March.

Anyone had this already?
