Had a welcome dinner type deal. Some champagne to kick things off then inside for more champagne, this time a Laurent-Perrier.

Wine at diner included "Art Series" chardonnay from Leeuwin Estate, 2005. Tasty as ****.
Duckhorn Vineyards merlot, 2007. Again, tasty.

After that, too much sochu, most of which was very good and an Olympic cocktail.

Finishing up the Turnbull Viognier I started on Valentine's Day. Definitely need to pick up another bottle of this.

Last night was 1 Husdon Single Malt Bourbon, 1 PVW 20yr Bourbon, 1 High West 16yo Redemption Rye, and a few Anchor Small Beers mixed in for good measure. Capped it off with a nice Aztec victory and a celebratory Anchor Humming Ale. Good time.

^^ Yes on the cab. It was hella' expensive driving all over San Diego. Split 4 ways, it was well worth it. Surprised I felt pretty good this am. Was home by 10, punded a couple pints of water and 4 advils. Nine hours later, I awoke to quite a tame hangover. More water and a coffee and I was good to go. Only having a wee dram of port tonight, then crashing early again.

^ Also, love that Tempeton rye, man. I always hunt it down whenever I'm in SF.

A relative heatwave today in New York. Celebrating this Friday with some bubbly. If you like a nice, easy on the wallet (about $16), bubbly, try this out.

Just finished a Blanton's single barrel on the back porch with a Don Tomas that had been hanging out in the humidor for the better part of a decade.

Probably going to switch to water for a few minutes to stave off the inevitable cotton mouth that cigars bring, then going for a glass of wine with dinner or maybe a G&T.
