Read his post again.. there are basically two "Havana Club", one being the real thing.

Yep, can't pay any orders including Cuban products with PayPal. PayPal has actually banned some vendors in Germany simply for having Cuban products in stock.

^ The unexpected part (to me then) of the small print is that pp actually doesn't appreciate business around any spirits and tobacco.
Cuba must have been the icing on the cake, but also probably the main trigger.

Guess our whole discussion is pretty much moot now. Looks like Cuban rum is going to start making its way into the US way more often.

Called 'PP acceptable usage policy'.
Would link but I get the Korean version when on my mobile.

PS: Found. https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/ua/acceptableuse-full
Funny enough, 'spirits/alcohol' vanished in there. Was stated right after 'cigarettes/tobacco'.
PPS: Now wonder if there are differences country to country?

Hm, partially the case in Germany. But only for cigarettes, prolly because they're regulated. For alcohol and other tobacco products PP only requires you to contact them with contact information, the company's website and a short descripten of the company to be able to accept payments for those items. I guess in other countries where selling alcohol is regulated, PP doesn't allow it. Makes sense.

Correct. Consensus on this thread seems to be they're both not good. I stick with 8yr Bacardi gold

Tipped some  Octomore last night 7.2 is my favorite one yet.

Started with a daquiri, with a knot of ginger muddled in. So simple, so good. Washed it down with some Zacapa 23. One of my favorite reasonably priced rums.

Have any of you tried Bloom gin (London dry)?
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

FWIW, I used Buffalo Trace for this batch.
Yeah, I was wondering how much of an effect the additional 20 proof have. I think there's a passage on it in Morgenthaler's book. I'll probably use the same ratio though. Ordered some Bourbon vanilla today and will order the bourbon tmrw along with some other stuff. I'll also order some untreated Navelina oranges from www.fetasoller.com for it.

First you said you were planning for the xmas/NY holiday-season but later that you'll only infuse it for one month (i.e. it'd be finished in the very beginning of Nov). Are you infusing for longer than one month?

Have you thought about other spices or would that get too muddled flavourwise?
