As indesertdum pointed out, either you like sours or you don't. If you do, this one is fucking delicious. Very clean and tangy tasting.

Why do I think that the "sour" is just bear essence?

St. George Green Chili Vodka = 2 oz
Grade A maple syrup = 1 oz
Your favorite mole bitters = 1 eye dropper full

Shake.
Strain into martini glass.

Orange rind garnish

So good.

What's the heat level on the St. George?

Got a bottle of Barr Hill gin as a gift. I'm impressed, it's pretty unique stuff. It's dosed with a small amount of honey post fermentation, which gives it an amazing aroma. I did 2:1 with a quinquina I like and it was excellent.

Are there supply limitations on Martin Miller gin or is my county liquor supply just incompetent? It's never in stock around here.

Low just like a green chili. At George does excellent fruit/veggie distillations.

Ordered a few amari and vermouths. Looking forward to them. Finally able to try the new Martinis.

Hot Toddy but didn't have any lemons or limes so I used calvados+cider vinegar. Pretty good!

Nice! Just those two ingredients or did you sweeten it at all?

Redux of last night but with a twist. Tried the aged version of the Barr Hill gin (called Tom Cat) and paired it with a red quinquina (Bonal). Very tasty. Really don't need lots of ingredients to make a good cocktail if the ingredients are complex themselves.
