Some CA red blend. Over at a friend's place and we just opened some rando red … Chalkboard. A little fruity on the front, but actually pretty balanced and enjoyable finish for a sub $10 bottle. Cannot even find a pic or link for it … naming your wine "Chalkboard" obviously not fully considered by the marketing and SEO departments.

I found a store near me that sells the 15 year for $35, so I haven't tried the 21 yet. Is it worth the $50 premium over the 15.

Just found this thread. Discussions of rhum agricole, whiskey? Subscribed.

I mix something different up every Friday night and share the results with friends. I've been spending way to much time on SF, so thought I'd share here. I give each a name, which is kind of douchey but makes me laugh.

Squeeze My Lemon

2 Oz. Old Tom Gin
3/4 Oz. Sherry
1/2 Oz. Fresh lemon juice
1/4 Oz. Maraschino
Splash simple syrup, or double splash if you use regular gin

Combine and stir or shake with ice; strain. Slap a basil leaf in your palm, like you mean it. Rub it around the rim of the glass and drop in. Squeeze lemon rind over glass; add.

1 oz Suze

1/2 oz Amaro Nonino

1/2 oz Campari

1 1/2 oz Bombay Sapphire

1 oz Cinzano

4 (I think?) dashes Bittermens Burlesque bitters

 

Stirred, rocks.
