It's not Monday, it's cinco de mayo. Plus, you don't have to own a Macbook to drink margaritas. And you certainly don't have to let your workload interfere with your alcohol consumption.

First margaritas of the season. Both with El Mayor blanco tequila. Mine with Patron Citronge, my girlfriend's with Cointreau. 3-2-1 ratio with fresh lime juice.

The Cointreau margarita is noticeably better.

With Cointreau as the 2?

I went to PDT the other day and I asked for something with tequila and the bartender made an infante. Basically a margarita with orgeat instead of Cointreau and nutmeg grated on top like a sling. Was pretty tasty.

Yeah, three parts tequila, two parts Cointreau (or the Patron stuff), one part lime. Not sure how I'd feel about the infante--would have to try it.

Actually, a simple paloma makes me really happy.

A few Elijah Craigs with a splash of water and a Four Roses Small Batch Manhattan. Both good stuff.

Am just getting into bourbons so experimenting with some of the slightly more affordable stuff before I buy anything pricier.

Had an Austere yesterday, which is a variation on a Berlioni, which is itself a variation on the Negroni.

Gin
Cynar
Lillet Blanc (instead of dry vermouth in a standard Berlioni)

Delicious change-up of a Negroni that I will be adding to my stable of cocktail standards.
